Fall is officially in the air and the local kickoff to everyone’s favorite season was a great success. The Redwood Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Fall Festival was held Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 and we couldn’t miss it.
Sweetman Sanitation at Redwood Falls Fall Festival
As a way for us to thank our customers and meet more of our community, we joined in on the fall festival fun this year in downtown Redwood Falls. There were many great vendors, activities and shopping opportunities to be had at this year’s annual event including bounce houses, the Redwood Falls Farmers Market, craft vendors and more!
Another highlight of this year’s Fall Festival was The Golden Rule Coffee House’s Pumpkin Pie Latte, Illegal Amigos’ amazing street tacos and Papa D’s Diner’s philly fries. Once you filled up on a taste of fall, there were plenty of great shopping experiences to be had including the many of local downtown shops that were opened for the weekend including Overjoyed, Rev 320, Lily and Finch, Lights of Home and many others.
Redwood Area Chamber Hero Camp
For the past two years, the Redwood Area Chamber has organized the Hero Camp during the Annual Fall Festival. This special feature reminds children ages 3 to 8 years old that not all heroes wear capes. During the hour and a half event at Kelly’s School of Dance, real-life local heroes are celebrated with storytime, snacks, crafts and a dance party.
The highlight for us was that our very own Jon Sweetman joined in as one of the 2023 local heroes… and danced with the group! Check out the below video as our proof that will live forever (You’re welcome, Jon!).
In case you’re wondering, Jon will now be accepting your requests for all kids birthday parties and celebrations.
