Growing Roots And Coming Full Circle
This year was a big one for growing while staying true to our small-town roots.
In 2025, we added the Marshall routes and expanded further into Lincoln and Lyon counties. That means more homes, farms, and businesses can count on Sweetman Sanitation for reliable, straight-talking, show-up-when-we-say-we-will service.
For co-owner Ray, the Marshall expansion has been especially meaningful. Those are the routes where he first learned the trade as a teenager, washing trucks and riding the recycling trailer. Now, seeing Sweetman trucks on those same roads feels like things have come full circle.
With the Marshall shop and expanded service area, our crews can stay closer to you, reduce travel time, and increase efficiency. In everyday terms, that means more consistent service across the region and more time spent where it matters most: in your neighborhoods, not on the highway.
Community, Celebrations, And Cleanups

Parades And Festivals
From small-town celebrations to hometown festivals, we had a lot of fun joining you along parade routes this summer. Our crews may be used to lifting heavy carts, but seeing kids light up when they spot the trucks might be the best part of the job. Those smiles and waves remind us why we do what we do.
Mattress Cleanup Days
Mattresses are bulky, annoying to move, and tough on landfills. That is why we continue to host Mattress Cleanup Days. Because you showed up and participated, we were able to keep hundreds of mattresses out of the landfill by recycling and repurposing them. That saves space, cuts down on waste, and helps keep disposal costs reasonable for families.
Downtown And Community Cleanups
We were proud to sponsor and participate in local cleanup efforts that keep downtowns, city parks, and main streets looking sharp. Clean streets, tidy parks, and well-kept business districts are not just about looks. They send a message that people care about the place they live. We are glad to do our part alongside you.
Making Garbage Day Fit Your Life
Life in our corner of the world is not simple or predictable. Between farm work, busy jobs, kids’ schedules, and Minnesota weather, there is no such thing as “one-size-fits-all” service.
