It’s been a whole year of venturing out on our own. Now is the time to reflect on what this last year has brought us and the communities we serve.

We couldn’t have done this without our valued customers, local businesses and community organizations who have supported our business in the first year. Though we have worked in the waste management industry since many of us were knee high to a grasshopper, we have learned a lot over the last year and couldn’t have done it without you.
Our Family Has Grown
In the first year, Sweetman Sanitation consisted solely of the Sweetman family and it was a big year for us. In November, Jon and Abi welcomed their son Jonathan James. A few months later in April, Dominic and Angela welcomed their third child Jaycee Rose. We are proud to raise another generation of Sweetmans in this wonderful community.
Our Business Has Grown
In just a year, we have now grown to serve three counties; Redwood, Renville and Eastern Yellow Medicine. Other strides in business growth include the addition of several locally made dumpsters and roll offs as well as the addition of a Sweetman Sanitation garbage truck to our fleet. Our love for community is showcased on the sides of our garbage truck. We take pride in our local area schools and have their logos displayed on our truck to show our support.
Another fan favorite from our fleet is our Sweetman Sanitation truck. We use the truck to haul many things including trailers, dumpsters, citywide clean ups, etc. In an effort to support local small businesses like ourselves, our decked out garbage truck was professionally stickered by Angela Parker-Schmidt. Our pickup truck was professionally wrapped by Country Enterprises in Lucan.
Looking Ahead
Residential and commercial entities in Redwood, Renville and Eastern Yellow Medicine Counties are in our current serving region. We are looking forward to expanding to Lyon County in the very near future and have also started serving the City of Marshall.
In addition to expanding our geographic footprint, we look forward to continuing to support our customers through our community involvement. We believe in supporting the communities that we live, work and play in. We can only make it better if we work together.
