Sweetman Sanitation is proud to partner with the City of Sanborn to provide collection services for Sanborn Junk Day—a city-sponsored event to help residents responsibly dispose of large household items and unwanted junk.

Curbside Pickup Starts at 7:00 AM
This one-day clean-up is open to in-town Sanborn residents only. To participate, residents must purchase item-specific stickers or pay for junk pickup in advance at City Hall.
How to Participate:
1. Appliances, Electronics & Mattresses
- Must be at the curb by 7:00 AM on May 3
- Stickers required for each item
- Purchase stickers at Sanborn City Hall no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, May 1
- Please note: No refunds will be issued for stickers
Accepted stickered items include:
- Refrigerators
- Freezers
- Stoves
- Microwaves
- Washers & Dryers
- TVs & Monitors
- Air Conditioners
- Mattresses
2. Junk Pickup
- Cost: $30 per household
- Pay and sign up at Sanborn City Hall by 4:00 PM on May 1
- Junk must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM on May 3
- Only one household per $30 fee — no combining with neighbors
Accepted junk includes non-hazardous, bulky household items not listed under regular garbage or the stickered categories.
What Will Not Be Collected
- Vehicle tires
- Yard waste
- Household hazardous waste
- Regular household garbage
- Appliances, electronics, or mattresses without a sticker
A Note for Residents:
Sanborn Junk Day is a city-organized event, and Sweetman Sanitation is honored to provide the hauling and disposal services. All rules and payments are managed through the Sanborn City Clerk’s Office.
